The CCT Jefferson Starship Recording Studio is equipped with a fantastic array of high end outboard pre-amps, compressors, and other processors with a maxed out Mac Pro at its heart. Monitoring duties are handled by an 8.1-channel Genelec monitoring system as well as a pair of Dynaudio BM15s. With an extensive microphone collection and space for mixing and tracking several musicians at a time the Starship provides a versatile space to mix and master multi-channel pieces, record instrumentalists and work on film scoring. The studio, located in Wilson 135, is run and used by the Composition and Computer Technologies program and is a valuable tool for CCT Faculty and Graduate students and for realizing advanced undergraduate projects.
