Offering a spectrum of performance opportunities, from jazz, bluegrass, and rock to early music, choral, and orchestral performance, the performance program strives to appeal to a wide range of student musical interests and talents, while reaching out to the public and the community in a myriad of ways.
All those involved in our performance program develop their musical knowledge and skill in various musical disciplines, from klezmer and percussion to chamber and digital musics.
The Performance Concentration is a new opportunity in the Music Department for rising third-year students. In the 3rd and 4th years, a student may work towards a Concentration in Music, an official credit on a student transcript.
In addition to student groups, the program also includes a full faculty of renowned performers who lead our ensembles, teach our students in private lessons, and help make our performance program one of the most exciting in any public or private university in the nation.
