The Trumpet Ensemble, directed by Max McNutt, is open to students from all majors and does not require an audition. The ensemble meets weekly for rehearsals and students enjoy a high level of autonomy over the rehearsal process, as well as one-on-one faculty interaction and guidance. Typical performances might include student recitals, national anthems at UVA sports games, educational outreach, and other UVA events. The Trumpet Ensemble is a uniquely personal way for students to develop ensemble skills, all while creating fun and exciting music.
